About the Role
We are hiring Civil Technicians/Laborers to support construction and site preparation for EV charging infrastructure projects throughout California. This role involves trenching, concrete work, equipment placement, and general civil site support. The work is field-based and requires travel between Northern and Southern California as part of a traveling crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform trenching, excavation, backfilling, and grading
- Set equipment pads, bollards, and enclosures for EV charging stations
- Pour and finish concrete for foundations, pads, and curbing
- Assist with site layout, surveying, and basic measurements
- Operate hand tools and small equipment safely and efficiently
- Work closely with electricians and project managers to coordinate tasks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Travel regularly within California
- Working on some prevailing wage projects
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of civil or general construction experience
- Comfortable using trenchers, compactors, concrete tools, and saws
- Ability to read site drawings and follow layout directions
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting electrical or utility infrastructure projects
- OSHA 10 certification
- Familiarity with EV charging infrastructure or renewable energy sites
Physical & Additional Requirements
- Complete background check, MVR, drug test, and physical
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel statewide
- Comfortable working outdoors and on active construction sites
- Physically fit to travel and work in field conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work outdoors
- Willingness to travel throughout California is required; per-diem provided
Salary and Benefits
Salary range for position: $18/hr. - $30/hr.
